About Us

Welcome to Ayurveda Unani Gyan.

There’s a lot of health information floating around online these days, and it’s genuinely hard to tell what’s accurate and what isn’t. That’s really why this site exists.

Our Mission: The Real Knowledge in Old Texts

We believe some of the safest, most tested remedies are sitting in classical texts that most people never get to read. Here’s roughly how we go about it:

  • Collecting old texts: We track down rare and historical Ayurveda and Unani books.
  • Real research: We read through these texts carefully to understand what they’re actually recommending.
  • Plain language: The language in these books is often dense and hard to follow, so our whole job is turning that into something simple enough for anyone to actually use.

Where Our Information Comes From

Most of what we publish is based on two major sources:

  1. Charak Samhita — one of the oldest and most respected texts in Ayurveda.
  2. Bayaz-e-Kabir — a well-known reference in Unani medicine.

We also draw on a handful of other historical books, and we credit them wherever they’re used in an article.

Note: Our goal is simply to bring this old Indian knowledge into ordinary homes, so people have a natural, time-tested way to look after their health.

About the Author

This site is written and run by Irfan Khan (also known as Irfan Bhai). I spend my time going through classical Ayurveda and Unani texts — Charak Samhita and Bayaz-e-Kabir among them — working through their original Sanskrit, Urdu, and Persian, and turning that into simple language anyone can actually read and understand.

I’m not a doctor or a registered medical practitioner. My role here is translation and research — reading these old books carefully and passing on what they say as accurately and honestly as I can.

How We Work

Every article on this site starts from a classical source. We read it, research it, and explain it in simple language — without adding ingredients, quantities, or claims that aren’t actually in the original text. Each article ends with a reference to exactly where the information came from (which volume, which page), so you can look it up yourself if you’d like.

This site is meant for education and general information, not medical advice. Please read our Disclaimer for more on that.
